When learning new information, it's helpful to take it slow, look at different angles, pause and try again. It's also great to have your nervous system regulated so you'll actually retain the new skills!
This class is all about learning more about your body and the squatting position, and it's interwoven with the philosophical (and practical) theme of the integrated pause. In yoga philosophy, this is called a kumbhaka and is one of the most foundational breathing practices of hatha yoga.
Enjoy this beginner friendly class, even if you're an expert squatter! The skills you'll learn will enhance your somatic knowledge base, encouraging a sense of grounded understanding in your practice. Expect step-by-step sequencing, strength building in fun new ways, and pranayama (breathing techniques) along the way.
Two blocks and a strap will be useful. Large books and a scarf will work just as well!
